Little Hunting Park (LHP)
Located nearby at 7000 Canterbury Lane, Alexandria, VA 22307, Little Hunting Park offers a vibrant community setting with various amenities for its members. Nestled on a secluded ten acres just minutes south of Old Town Alexandria, LHP provides families with:
- Swimming Facilities: A competition-sized pool and a wading pool.
- Tennis and Pickleball Courts: Two hard surface courts suitable for match play and two sports courts. Reservations are available for all four courts outside scheduled clinics and team matches.
- Recreation Areas: A modern bathhouse with spacious restrooms, an upgraded playground with swings and a sandpit, and dedicated party spaces.
- Full Service Grill: Offering hot foods for all-day food and ice cream to cool down.
The park and pool hours vary throughout the season operating from Memorial Day to the first few weeks in September.
Activities and Programs
Little Hunting Park is known for its active swim and tennis programs:
- Swim Team: Competes in the Northern Virginia Swim League (NVSL).
- Tennis Programs: Offers clinics for every age and ability, private lessons, and summer camps in partnership with ProsToYou Tennis. The Junior Team Tennis competes with the MVCT Junior Division Summer League. Women’s and Men’s Tennis Teams also meet regularly during the summer.
- Family Events: Seasonal celebrations, movie nights, and themed parties create lasting memories for members of all ages.

Membership at Little Hunting Park is currently full. Individuals and families who wish to add their names can fill out the form below and pay a nonrefundable $50 deposit to join the waitlist.
